About Downtown

Downtown is a destination, both at our store in San Francisco and worldwide through our webstore, for the most interesting and unique women’s and unisex designers working today. Lauded by the press, both fashion and mainstream, for our curated selection of hard to find Japanese, French, Italian, British and American designers, expect to discover amazing clothing, footwear, jewelry and accessories, most of which are available exclusively at Downtown.

We are open Monday through Saturday from 10:30 until 6:30. We are happy to schedule private appointments outside of these hours, just let us know what works best for you.

We welcome all major credit cards, as well as PayPal.

We have an exceptional team of seamstresses and tailors. When shopping with us in person, if your purchases require any alterations, you'll be fitted in-store. We don't charge for alterations, no matter how complicated, unless it is during our twice yearly sales.

Sharing the Downtown experience as a gift is easily done with our Indulge envelopes. Think of these as our version of a gift certificate or card. They're available in any amount, for pick up in our shop or sent to you or directly to the lucky recipient.
